Nighttime Trick or Treat

Tonight we took Claire on her first "trick or treat" adventure! We met Stephanie, Tony and Evan (who was the cutest robot ever)and went to a neighborhood near our house. We can't trick or treat out in the acreage where we live because the houses are on dirt roads and far apart! This neighborhood is a really popular trick or treat spot so most of the houses are all decorated and there are a lot of kids dressed up. Claire stayed up past her usual bedtime, but she wasn't cranky at all. She wasn't scared of any costumes or anything! She just hung out and watched all the goings ons. She liked to bite on the candy (in the wrappers of course!), and her favorite candy was the Skittles because they make a shake-shake noise.

Daytime Trick-or-Treating

Today we dressed Claire up in her Halloween best and took her out to see Auntie Kristen at work. It was too hot to keep her in her costume very long, so underneath she had on her white-trash-baby-wife-beater. After we saw everyone at Palm Beach County Purchasing, we went out to lunch. After lunch, we dressed her up again to go to see all mine and my mom's co-workers at Publix #620. She didn't mind being in her costume at all, and everyone thought she was the most adorable bear ever!

Somebody (can you guess who?) has a third tooth! Her front right upper tooth has broken through, soon she will be eating steak and potatoes! :)

The Pumpkin Patch

Today I took my Pumpkin to the pumpkin patch! At first I just let her play with the little pumpkins, then we moved on to the big 'uns. At first she was a bit trepidacious of the big orange gourds, but then she warmed up to them. She even got a sticker to show she was an offical "pumpkin patch visitor"!

9 month check up

Today was Claire's 9 month check up at Dr. Rahman's office. Claire now weighs 20 lb. 12 oz. (85%), and she is 28 3/4 inches tall (90%)! She got one shot today, and her finger pricked for her iron test. At home, she is crawling all over the place and is pulling up to standing when she finds steady furniture, or a dog. Today she crawled right under Clarice like she was going under a bridge. It was cute. I think Thursday we are going to the Pumpkin Patch, so watch for a blog!
